Q: Where are you located?
A: 1172 Pontiac Trail in Walled Lake. We're 2 miles west of M5.
Q: I don't know much about this teen club thing. What is it?
A: We like to consider it a place our guests can come in and blow off steam in a safe environment. They can meet new people, dance to the music they like and just basically be kids while still being supervised.
Q: Is it safe?
A: We have a professionally licensed and insured adult security staff that works during all hours of regular operation. Also, the local police make frequent stops just to say "hi" and to see that all is well from time to time. We have clear rules and regulations posted in our entryway.
Q: What about alcohol and drugs? I imagine that's big with teens.
A: Believe it or not, we don't see any of that here. Boys are searched upon entry, and girls' purses that are larger than half-a-shoebox are opened and screened for any types of contraband. Also, smoking is not allowed anywhere in the building.
Q: How do you keep kids from being harassed or "influenced" by others?
A: We keep a close eye on who looks like they're having a good time and who isn't. We also have a zero tolerance policy on intimidation, harassment, provocation, and any improper physical contact. Anyone engaging in such activity will be escorted from the building without refund.
Q: What do you offer inside? Is there food? Beverages?
A: We are much like a high school dance, offering professional DJ's playing dance music, two dance floors, TV's, and socializing. Sometimes we have interactive activities, such as trivia-based games, and we even fly in celebrities from time to time. Currently, we do not offer food, but soft drinks and bottled water are available for $2 each.
Q: How many people come to Club Inferno at one time?
A: The Winter is our busiest season, but our attendance can reach anywhere from 150 to 600 kids in one night.
Q: Are parents allowed in?
A: We welcome parents and adults to come in and check us out anytime before 9:15 pm, after which we ask that all non-employees over the age of 18 exit the building. We set this rule for two reasons:
1) If we let one adult stay, we have to let them all stay, and pretty soon kids start to feel uncomfortable with their moms and dads hanging out with them.
2) We would then have to start watching "parents", as well as kids, and we don't know who is really who, and who is just a creepy old (wo)man that likes to hang out with kids.
Q: I'm dropping off a group for a few hours. Where can I go in the meantime?
A: Downtown Novi is 10 minutes south of us at Grand River and Novi Road, as is Fountainwalk at I96 and Novi Rd. Here, you can find shopping, restaurants, movie theaters, billiard halls, and other entertainment. There is also a movie theater on M5 just south of our location. Just ask our doorperson when you get here and they will be happy to direct you.
Q: Is there a dress code?
A: Covered is the code we use here. Ladies must not be showing their "unmentionables", and guys must be wearing shirts, in full when inside Club Inferno. For the most part, we let the kids wear what they like. Our security staff, however, reserves the right to invoke any amendments to our dress code at any time.
Q: My son/daughter is a performer. Can (s)he play at Inferno?
A: We have a certain protocol that we follow for any stage performances from local or unsigned artists. Please go to our contact page and e-mail or call us for more information.
